Marsha Kay Wenberg, 73, of Joliet, Remembered for Strength and Dedication to Family

Marsha Kay Wenberg, aged 73, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away on October 15, 2025, at Lightways Hospice. Born on March 22, 1952, Marsha Kay worked hard throughout her life, culminating in a 10-year career as a yard checker for BNSF Railway before retiring.

Known for her strength and unwavering dedication to her family, Marsha was a loving mother to James Wenberg and Angie Austin. She took pride in caring for her home and creating a warm environment for her loved ones. Marsha will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor and remarkable resilience.

She is survived by her children, granddaughter Katie, great-granddaughters Madilynn and Raelynn, four brothers, and three sisters, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites have been performed. A Celebration of Life will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on her memorial page online.
