The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce has announced that the annual Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, November 29, at 5:00 p.m. This year’s event is themed “Christmas Trees on Parade.”
According to the Chamber, there are specific rules for participants. “NO LIVE SANTA CLAUS or anything similar will be allowed with parade entries. The Wilmington Chamber will have the only live Santa Claus. Any participants including a live Santa may be removed from the parade lineup at the discretion of the Wilmington Chamber.”
Entry into the parade is free except for political groups, which must pay a $50 fee. Prizes will be given to top-rated entries that align with this year’s theme.
Lineup for the parade begins at 4:00 p.m., and all entry forms must be submitted by November 20. Participants will receive additional information, including a map of the lineup area, three to five days before the event.
