Wilmington, IL - Alberta Mae Novy, 87, of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025. Born on May 8, 1938, to Elmer and Lorene Moore, Alberta worked for Johnson & Johnson Personal Products for 30 years until her retirement in 1999.

A dedicated sports fan, Alberta supported teams such as the Chicago Bears, Northwestern University, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the Wilmington Wildcats. Her greatest love was reserved for the Chicago Cubs, and she rejoiced in their 2016 World Series victory. However, spending time with her family brought her the most joy. Alberta adored her children and grandchildren, attending all their activities and cherishing family time.

Survived by her son David Hill, daughter-in-law Linda Engel, daughter Alecia Ptacek, and grandchildren and great grandchildren, Alberta's memory will be treasured by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her son, Charles Cunitz, and several siblings.

A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Condolences and memories of Alberta can be shared on www.BaskervilleFuneral.com.
