The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce has announced that entries are now open for the annual Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, at 5:00 p.m. This year's theme is "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Interested participants can sign up by completing the form available on the event's webpage.
Participants are reminded of specific rules set by the Chamber. Notably, no live Santa Claus or similar figures will be permitted with parade entries. The Chamber will provide the only live Santa Claus for the event. Any violation of this rule may result in removal from the parade lineup at the discretion of the Wilmington Chamber.
While entry to participate in the parade is free, political entries incur a fee of $50. The lineup for participants will commence at 4 p.m., and all entry forms must be submitted by November 22.
Participants will receive additional information and a map detailing their lineup position approximately three to five days before the parade date. For further inquiries, individuals can contact Marty Orr via email at wilmingtonchamberparade@yahoo.com.
